More Sunak incredulity when he hinted that he would support a Truss Budget - WTF? You spend weeks ridiculing her plans and then hint that you'd vote for them?
Effing cloud-cuckoo land. Anything to keep in power. If his Wife wasn't so wealthy he'd have flogged her off long ago....

It's always seemed grimly inevitable that as one of her first acts as PM, Lizz Truss would start a war with a nuclear superpower.

How naive we were to assume it would be Russia.

Tbf he, or people speaking for him, has said that to vote against a budget is tantamount to voting no confidence in the government.

Politicians of all sides have a long history of voting for stuff they don't necessarily agree with in order not to be seen to damage party 'unity' and give the other parties more ammunition, aka keeping in power.

It's politics in all its grubbiness, not the moral maze, and not confined to the Tories.
