I see there is to be another by-election after Peter Bone's has been de-selected by his constituency.

Personally, I think they are being too hardon him.

This post deserves a stiff rebuke.

Since the figures are for Germany, perhaps, it is all the schnapps (snaps) ? ;)

Come the general election, I’m hoping the entire Tory party get shafted.
To be honest I struggle to see any scenario in which that doesn't happen.

Speaking as someone who is pretty middle ground but grew up in a Conservative voting household and as someone who voted for Major and Cameron, I wouldn't vote for a Conservative. I think there are a great many middle of the road people who would normally vote Conservative who will not do so.

The biggest issue is likely to be that Labour don't get enough MPs to form a majority. In order to get a majority they need to win seats in Scotland in particular. The SNP have done them a favour by drastically reducing their popularity over the last year or so however. In seats like mine they will almost certainly go Lib Dem or Green.

At the moment these chaps are predicting a Labour landslide.

120 Conservative MPs, 459 Labour MPs, 31 Lib Dems, 17 SNP, 4 Plaid and 1 Green (I haven't included Northern Ireland).
Even their worst case is 235 Con, 342 Lab.
