Dorries has weapons grade levels of stupidity but even she knows that any other leader would never even contemplate her anywhere near a cabinet position. Only Johnson with his policy of having people around him who slavishly defend him and have absolutely no ability to threaten his job would even begin to entertain her being anything other than a backbencher.

fark 'em all. Bunch of daffodils.
You would think at least half the cabinet are in the same boat.

They even wheeled out Fabricant the other day. How desperate do you have to be if he’s the only one prepared to defend you.

Fabricant is the sort of person who - even when wholeheartedly defending someone - will inadvertently make it worse for them....

I particularly enjoyed the tweeted response of "Did the whips tell you that if you rebelled there’d be hell toupee?"

I try very hard not to make fun of anyone's appearance. But as a paid up member of the baldy club (free beanie hat for all members to keep this winter cold at bay), I think I am entitled to comment.

Dorries is so dense that light bends around her.

Looks like Ant or Dec!

Or both.

"Happy Birthday to the Prime Minister..." but it isn't the party with schoolchildren singing that which has got him in renewed trouble, but the 30 people 30 minutes cake party in the cabinet room where covid restrictions were agreed.

Defences from the Boris faithful have been all over the shop, from claiming it was only number 10 workers (it wasn't, as both the PM's wife and his interior design consultant were there) or 10 people for 10 minutes (doesn't matter, still illegal at the time), to suggesting that it somehow doesn't count because it was a rubbish party.

If Boris was now pictured playing the fiddle in front of burning buildings, it would fit right in.

Johnson clearly thought it was a 'business' cake alright ??
