After bigging up the new "stability" in the party with Sunak in charge they are not going to want a senior minister's resignation so soon into his tenure.
Surely there is no way he would have re-appointed her if he had any idea this was going to happen.

...maybe he didn't have much of a choice....

There is always a choice. Some are just worse than others.

Roger Gale, the MP for Manston, criticised the approach of successive governments to how refugees are treated, but singled out Braverman and Patel for playing to the right of the Tory party instead of trying to solve the issues in a humane manner.

Quite how Cruella has the gall to stand-up in Parliament and argue in her defence that the Asylum system is broken, is something else. Can we remind her which party has been in charge of fixing this for the last12 years?

She should be fired for the 'invasion' comment.
Frankly, she needs to look at a few facts, then she'll realise that our lot is miniscule compared to other countries, she also needs to understand why certain people are he'll bent on coming to the UK.

In addition, the Rwanda spaff is an almighty expensive and unworkable fail. It's not stemmed the flow has it?

So Cruella, if you're reading, speed-up the assessment process 10 fold, that will save money on hotels, allow people to start new lives and contribute to the economy, and stop blowing the dog-whistle for the xenophobes.

Is it all about the optics. 'Tough on asylum seekers, create an enemy to focus the hate'.

I'm cynical/real enough to think that the petrol bombing in Dover the other day gave her and others goosebumps.

All a bit trumpian.
