I'm not terribly keen on him.

Mhairi Black (SNP) is definitely a rising star though. When she became an MP at the age of 21 she was the youngest to be elected. Intelligent and direct, I like her a lot.

Seems a reasonable response, bearing in mind the recent interim Cass report. Ban out and out gay conversion therapy, as often done by religious groups, but don't ban talk therapy for gender dysphoric kids.

I'm not sure what you mean by divide and conquer. I think it's a sensible decision. It was a muddled bill, rushed along without enough consultation, and without even defining what key terms like 'conversion therapy' and 'gender identity' meant. A blanket ban could have had the effect of closing the door on exploratory therapy for children with body dysphoria. This needs much further discussion before being enshrined in legislation.
