Only been banned from here as I see you lot as a fun challenge.

The 'challenge' being what exactly ?

To display your vast and wide ranging ignorance on a whole breadth of subjects ??

Well done :okay: i think your work here is complete - top job

The real one though isn't it, with people to talk to and places to go and see not holed up at home scouring the internet or TV for stories of doom and gloom.

I go to work on a daily basis, visit various sites around the country and meet different types of people, socialise and discuss things face to face with others so I would imagine it's not really that small is it?

But no, you think what you like old pal.

You think the rest of us don't do any of those things.?

I could give you a very long and exhaustive list of places I've been, work i've done, events I've attended, and people I've met and spoken to - only in the last twelve months - despite the limits we've had on our movements .

However -

You may wish to note that this forum is called "News and Current Affairs"

It is therefore rather unsurprising , that most of us here have read the news, from a variety of sources, and wish to comment on it.

Thats exactly what this forum is about.

That's precisely why we are here.

Sorry if that wasn't made clear to you when you joined ...

I'm not sure who you should complain to about that - but best of luck with it, all the same

I wasn't replying to you as it happens, I was pointing out to someone who said my World was small and that in fact it isn't, in my opinion.

I'm sure your World is equally as big as mine and maybe even bigger💪, well done, congratulations are in order.

You've repeatedly stated that you think you live in the 'real world' and the rest of of us don't.

Why you think that, is a mystery.
But I believe that's what Rusty was responding to.

Having a full life doesn't preclude having an interest in news, current affairs and. politics, nor does it stop people wanting to talk about it.

Quite the reverse in fact.

Because that's obviously what people who disagree strongly with you do. That's what I mean by a small World....where you cannot see that people who do not share your views are not at all unusual. But then you have said in the past that you do not mix with people who do not share your views so, again, a small World.

If you say so, I don't particularly socialise with people who look at the world completely differently to me because we wouldn't have much in common and not really enjoy each other's company, as I would imagine is the same for most, mixing is different because you can't choose your work colleagues or family or the strangers you have to meet during your working day.

Rather like joining the EU it's best to find out what it's was about before you join, much better than failing to do it before , during and after and then whining about not knowing.

Not sure what this means to be honest, I doubt many on here were old enough to have a say in whether we joined or not, thankfully I had a say in us leaving. 👍

In terms of the OP, it would be better and more interesting if the members didn't keep insulting each other, apart from that it seems to be going better than I expected.

No insults at all would be a bit dull though right.??

I do agree however, that we could very easily critique the quality of some of the insults :okay:

Dare I ask what you expected?
A disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!
