Pedestrians have their safe space.
Cars have their safe space.
Cyclist seem to be punished for daring to go on either.
Children and elderly often cycle on pavements, why can’t everyone just get on?

Because the mainstream press need an enemy to sell papers and clicks.

The statistics on injuries caused by cyclists doesn't justify it, but they we have it.

... also, many* drivers are pedestrians also, but do not cycle. So we're always going to miss out in any power-sharing agreement.

*well actually most, but some do so little walking that it's irrelephant ...
