Incredibly brave young women in Iran...

It's always women's responsibility to sort out male violence it seems, whether it's feminists in general or one woman in particular.

Where are the male footballers taking the knee over the death of Mahsa Amini?
Together with all those who refuse to wear a rainbow band for ''religious reasons'' (was a thing in dutch football dont knon if it went international, somehow it werent the christian footballers)

Please show me evidence of this.
Otherwise we can call total bollix on it.
If you don't see it then your part of the problem.
What should islamophobia be in your opinion? In my view it should not be: not naming an muslim knife wielding lunatic, defacto forbidding an movie called muhammad, teachers that want to teach history but get an angry muslim mob instead, preventing them for doing their job, of being beheaded like in France (is that the ''viva la France thing''?)

There are lot's of things that are islamophobia like for example ukip/farage/bankrupt again Robbisons who activily seek to frame everything they can find as a premeditated muslim plan to hurt/dominate whatever europe/the worlds/the local kitchen table

The problem is tat those different things are not really addressed as such, i man try to prove me wrong, all events i mentioned above are real and have really happened that way. As long as we as society accept that, off course it gonna be easyer for Iran to steer it's shadow proxy's, to maintain his iran claw on his inhabitants, in Iran itself in the UK and in the rest of Europe.

From what I've seen its overwhelmingly the 'left wing' press reporting on all this.

I'd like to see more extensive coverage from other outlets.
Where is it?
fox news (is right right? )

daily fail (especially on Iran)

At your service 3 different ''news'' media often referred to as right, don't really see them ignoring it now do they?

That's not addressing the accusation that you made that it is left wing media (or attitudes) are ignoring, or stopping full reporting of the protests in Iran.

When it's clear they're doing a great deal of reporting, but of course they still could do more.

I don't understand what your other ramblings about 'what should islamaphobia be?' are trying to suggest, it's utterly incomprehensible.
I know English isn't your first language, but if you want to make a coherent point..
Then do try to make it coherent.

But for the record in case there was any doubt, I don't think 'Islamaphobia' should be a thing..

I said I'd like to see more news reporting from all sources reporting on this.

Not that there was none.

It's good that it's getting covered, but it's still not enough.

Attention now is crucial if as has been reported there is talk of a crackdown on protests.

Unfortunately, it appears that seppah are now involved in the crackdown. Yesterday several university campus were locked down and large numbers of students were taken.

The news today are not good. In Tehran alone over 1000 people have been charged, with several death sentences issued after summary trials.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-63456606

The two journalists who initially reported on Mahsa Amini's death have been charged with espionage. The side effect of those charges is that Iranian journalists have stopped contacting foreign media as they are scared of being found out. Getting news out of Iran is that much harder now.

On another disturbing development, the Iranian embassies seem to be taking a leaf out of the MO of the Chinese consulate in Manchester. Last night protesters camped near the Iranian embassy in Berlin were attacked with two protesters needing hospital treatment.

One of the many awful things happening is the pressure the authorities put on victims families.

This lady from Amol -a nice little seaside town in the Caspian coast, worth a visit if you happen to be in the area- was shot in the head while filming the protests. While she was in hospital, her family were warned to keep quiet, or her body would be buried in an undisclosed location.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...d-during-protests-harassed-by-security-forces

There are many stories like this. For male victims the shtick is to ask families to say they were basijis -a volunteer force used to put down protests- killed by the demonstrators.

Despite the large numbers of arrests and the involvement of seppah in the repression, the protests continue, with university students staging sit ins in several campus around the country.

Please, keep sharing.

Thanks👍🏼 I'd not spotted that one.

It feels a bit feeble to just keep sharing news stories, but I don't know what else to do.. 🤔

Another 40th day becomes the focal point of protests, despite the repression becoming more intense.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-63498820

Seppah, the revolutionary guard, these are trained paramilitaries like the SS, not like the volunteer basijis, are now trying to make last week's threat true. The population though, are still going out and protesting at every opportunity. So far it would seem that every step that the government has taken to quell the protests only makes the protesters more determined.

Are there many people in Iran looking at this forum or do you mean 'sharing ' elsewhere?

I have no idea who is looking, nor from where in truth.

But keeping things exposed, not falling out of peoples news feeds, or consciousness, might just help.

People in Iran are going to extraordinary lengths, and taking massive.risks to get out footage of this oppression.

The least, in fact 'all' that some of us can do, in response to that effort, is to share the hell out of these stories, on whichever platforms we have access to..

Come on now, you know there is no point in getting interested in or concerned over anything that's happening outside your little area or that doesn't directly upset your cosy little world.
No good will come of it. Concern, like charity, begins...and ends...at home.

There's a trend developing in Iran where people get filmed knocking the turbans off the heads of mullahs, like you can see in here:

View: https://youtu.be/vitvG0V3VO4

We are a bit ambivalent about this. On the one hand, mullahs are a visible symbol of the theocracy, on the other, there's no way to know what the personal views on the situation are.
